1964 Leopard Breweries donated a cup
1965 Leopard Breweries 9 miles. Had 7 judges, 4 timekeepers, 6 recorders & 7 traffic control
1972 Leopard Breweries 9 miles. Leopard Breweries & Commercial Hotel withdrew sponsorship
1973 Waikato Breweries 9 mile walk. They donated the Hawera Cup
1974 Waikato Breweries 9 mile walk. Norm Read that this becomes a 15km walk
1976 Waikato Breweries 9 mile walk. NZ Breweries took over sponsorship
1977 Lion Breweries 15km Walk. Lion Breweries now the sponsor
1978 Furlong Motor Inn 15km Walk. Lion Breweries withdrew sponsorship. Furlong Motor Inn new sponsor
1979/88 15km Hawera Walk. Name changed at sometime in these years
1989 15km Hawera Walk. Last year held in Hawera due to no members living there.
1990 Open Walks. Final name change? Held along De Havilland Drive Bell Block
1991 Open Walks. Campbell Cup donated for winner of the women's 10km walk. 43 walkers participated (23 senior men including 3 World Cup walkers)

1995 Open Walks. Held on Fitzroy course. Not to walk there again - too dangerous
1996/97 Open Walks. Held on Tikorangi course
1998 Open Walks. Held on De Havilland Drive but committee decided a new course for 1999 due
to harsh weather making walking difficult
1999 Open Walks. Held on Kaimata Street course. TRWC Cup - New trophy for Over 60s presented

2001 Open Walks. 25 Walkers took part including one Olympic Representative
2002 Open Walks. 19 Walkers took part including one Olympic Representative

Seven relay teams took part with Auckland winning in 7hr 16m 39s mainly due to Richard Cross doing his 10km in 53m & Jane Jackson in 53m 54s. Club walker Christine Hoskins was only 2mins behind Jackson. The club relay teams came in 3rd and 7th, in 7hr 47m 48s & 7hr 56m44s. NB Sonja Rowe is the only woman to walk the 50 mile distance.
