A lovely morning, calm, warm and clear after the previous day's winds!!, greeted our last event of the year - the first running of the Richard Park Memorial Cup. And indeed, it was more like running than a gentle end of year wind down.
The competitive nature of the points Trophy ensured that the racing would be competitive and the banter about handicaps robust.
This was the first morning after the change to daylight saving, although nobody admitted to being late because of the change. We all thought Tony had slept in but, no, he was away in Wellington!
Lorraine held of some strong finishing walkers and looked very pleased with herself as she was presented with the trophy from Sue Park.
We were lucky to have morning tea in a little sun-trap at the back of Linda and Wacky’s home – thanks Dave and Linda for your hospitality.
