A new course greeted us on a sunny but breezy Sunday morning. Once all the confusion about where we were racing was cleared up, everyone seemed to find their way out. And, I think it was probably worthwhile. The course was a compact 1km circuit which allowed everyone to keep a close eye on how they were doing and how their opposition was going.
We changed the starting order for this handicap event. The aim was to start so that everyone finished together regardless of their handicap or the distance they were covering. It seemed to work quite well with some very competitive racing.
Whilst it may have been Father's Day, Anne showed no mercy and walk very impressively to finish ahead of Ivor. Mike finished third just ahead of Arthur and Alan.
Many thanks to our helpers - Frances, Trevor and Tanya - and especially to Jeff and Gay for hosting our morning tea gathering. I thinks we will have to come back to this course next year.
